Emma and Three writes first WOW review of 2012!
Emma and three is a blog written by Emma, a sociology teacher and volunteer youth worker. She loves to write and has found her niche in a fab blog which covers all areas of her and her family’s lives. She kindly agreed to review Jess ‘n’ Jake’s Playground and Misty ‘n’ Molly for us. Her youngest child, Erin, loved playing with both sets of toys and Emma was so impressed that she will be looking for more WOW toys in the future and she’ll be spreading the WOW word amongst friends and family.
Here are some of the things Emma said about her new WOW toys:
“The toys are suitable for taking out and about in my handbag”.
“I like that the toys have moving parts for extra imagination”.
“I will certainly be on the look out for more in the range”.

Mummy Fever says “WOW Toys are stunning!”

Mummy Fever is a website dedicated to showing off all the great things out there for mums and mums to be. We were very happy that Mummy Fever agreed to review some of our toys so we sent them 3! Casey Camper Van, Harvey Harvester and Mario’s Pizzeria made their way to Mummy Fever HQ to be put through their paces and prove just how fab they are, and we were so happy to see that the toys were enjoyed as much as we thought they would be :)
It’s great to see that all at Mummy Fever could see the obvious benefits of WOW. No batteries, super cute, as tough as nails and smashing all the European and American safety standards; what is there not to like? Check out some of the things Mummy Fever said about WOW here:
“One of the other really lovely things about these toys is the huge age range these toys span”.
“My 3 year old LOVES them”.
“These toys would make great Christmas presents and are super value for the quality you get”!

Top WOW fan reviews Mix ‘n’ Fix Mike and Police Chase Charlie!

Nicola Hinchliffe and her auntie, Amy, have always been huge WOW fans ever since her 15 year old brother was a toddler and they love to review our toys to show the world just how brilliant WOW is! Sturdy, cute and great value for money are always messages that Nicola and Amy send to our fans so we thank you very much for that ladies!
Nicola’s fab blog, Charlie Monsters’ Fun House, is a fascinating blog full of day to day life on the North Yorkshire coast and great product reviews, especially those of WOW!
We recently sent Mix ‘n’ Fix Mike and Police Chase Charlie to Nicola for her son, Charlie, to put through their paces. As with all of his other WOW toys he fell in love with both Mix ‘n’ Fix Mike and Police Chase Charlie and after some very heavy handed play throwing them around on the floor and down the stairs, the sturdy little WOW toys were still as good as new!

Nicola has uploaded a fab photograph showing Charlie’s full collection of WOW and we think Mix ‘n’ Fix Mike and Police Chase Charlie will be as loved as the 15 year old Ernie who sits centre stage!
Here are some of the things Nicola said about WOW:
“What makes Wow Toys a little special is that they have lots of features for your little ones to explore”.
“Wow toys have been in our family since my now 15 year old little brother was a toddler and believe it or not our kids now play with his original Ernie Fire Engine”.
“These super cute toys are built to last and that’s exactly why we love them”.
Click here to read the full review; there’s also a great review of Flip ‘n’ Tip Fred from Nicola’s aunt, Amy!
Thank you so much for being such great WOW fans! We hope you have a fab Christmas with your huge WOW collection! :)

We were more than happy to send over some of our newer range for Danielle and Mark to put through their paces. We sent over Ernie Fire Engine and Jurassic Jimmy and are so pleased she and her family love them as much as they love Bernie!

She truly is a brilliant toy with her unique functions and features for little ones to discover, and as always, no batteries required!

Penny’s Pooch and Ride shows the wonders of WOW’s girl range!

Boo Roo and Tigger Too had a firm idea that WOW toys were for boys only. That was until we here at WOW sent over Penny’s Pooch and Ride for her to review!
Boo Roo and Tigger Too’s opinions of WOW changed as soon as Penny was unwrapped as her wonderful pink paint job and awesome features showed that WOW are far more than a company specialising in boy’s toys!
Penny’s speedy motorised engine and removable figures make play time that much more fun for girls and boys!
Here are some of the things Boo Roo and Tigger Too said about Penny and WOW:
“The figures were a good size, big enough for little hands to hold and play with easily”
“Roo really enjoyed the role play aspect of the toy”
“The best bit for me (and probably every parent) is that there are no batteries included”!

A double whammy for lucky WOW reviewer!

Lucky blogger, Claire, who has a fab blog entitled ‘A boy with Asperger’s‘ was more than happy when asked to review two products! Especially when those products happen to be the pizza making extraordinaire, Mario’ Pizzeria, and the friendly, but firm Steam Rolling master, Roll-it Riley!
Here are a few of her Mario quotes:
“Like all WOW toys, all pieces are well made, there are no little pieces, all pieces are chunky and ideal for the little hands of a pre-schooler”
“He had fun popping the pizzas in the oven and discovering the magic features”
“As a parent I think it’s a fabulous set, that hosts a great set of features for your child to discover and learn, keeping their little minds busy”
Next up was Roll-it Riley! After Mario was put through the test, it was now Riley’s turn to show just how sturdy and cute WOW toys really are!
Here are a few of Claire’s Riley quotes:
“The face changer was enjoyed by H and as well as pushing it around the living room he sat spinning the roller and copying the expression”.
“Lots of fun was had and Riley kept him very busy and fully entertained. ***** stars is again given to Roll-it Riley”!
“As a parent I loved the spin and sort face changing feature (when Riley moved his face expression changed). This made me think about the potential benefits of such a toy for a child on the autism spectrum who has difficulty understanding facial expression as Riley could prove a great resource offering children a fun way to learn and understand these expressions better”.

The smiley birthday boy, with his new toy, Riley!

ToyTalk gives Fred the thumbs up!

“The reason I love Wow Toys so much is that they know just how to appeal to toddlers. This toy is aimed at children between the ages of 18 months and five years old (although experience of visitors to our house proves that the appeal is far wider). The chunky plastic toy is great for little hands to get to grips with. The handle at the back is particularly useful as children can push it along the floor as they crawl (and build up quite a speed too!) Importantly, the toy is totally wipe-clean; anyone with knowledge of the jammy, milky, sandy, snottyness of toddlers will understand why this is so important.” See the rest of this fab review at http://www.mum-me.co.uk/2011/05/toyologist.html

A whole lot of WOW…

The boys go down a storm in this fab review from ’sleep is for the weak’ blogger Josie!
“Now, we’re a big fan of WOW toys in this house, with the Robin’s Medical Rescue ambulance in the range being one of Kai’s very favourites, and the arrival of Flip n’ Tip Fred, as a well as Ronnie the space rocket and Harry Copter’s Animal Rescue helicopter went down an absolute storm here, in fact, when I first opened the big box I didn’t hear another peep out of Kai for the next two hours (total parenting WIN there! I got to drink a whole cup of tea! And knit!)”

Suzanne, BabyExpo organiser and mother of Georgie and Ruby
We were so delighted to work with WOW at both the 2008 and 2010 BabyExpo events..
The WOW Toddler Fun zone was enormously well received by children and parents alike with mums and dads loving the opportunity to watch their children at play with such engaging and captivating products. Appealing to a broad age range and to boys and girls alike, the very design of the toys facilitates interactive play. We welcomed hundreds of children throughout the day and as an event organiser, we could not have been happier to showcase these toys and offer an area where children were immediately focused on fun and were entertained. Parents still comment to me now how pleased they were to have had the opportunity to get to know the product and how WOW toys have become firm favourites on Christmas and birthday lists!
As a mum, we adore WOW in our house – Fireboat Felix and Dynamite Daisy travel with us everywhere and I love watching the toys grow with each child as they discover all the magic features, functions and buttons! And no batteries to run out – fantastic!

Creative Steps magazine loves WOW’s recycling truck, Flip ‘n’ Tip Fred…
They recently tried and tested Fred and said,
“WOW Toys are colourful, well made and offer huge amounts of play value. This recycling truck is a great way to introduce green concepts to young children and includes a whole range of features. Our testers loved the little recycling bins, the spinning waste crusher and the hand controlled flip mechanism. It moves by friction power and also has engine sounds!

Beckickles review…We love WOW!
WOW , at first, can seem like your usual collection of toddler toys, but you couldn’t be more wrong. Toys that usually take on this appearance require batteries every 14 days and therefore come with a screeching toddler demanding for apakc of AA’s before breakfast. All toys, let me say again, ALL toys from the WOW collection don’t need batteries. They are a completely powered by friction, as Dexter will show you….

Sundeep, Father of Hari age 2
Hari loves WOW toys and gets very excited when he plays with them! It all started when his grandparents gave him Bumpety Bump Bernie for his first birthday. From that point the collection started to grow. He loves pushing them along the floor and taking the little people in and out. We love them because they keep him entertained, they help him learn how to role-play plus they don¹t need batteries.

Mix ‘n’ Fix Mike – Kristen Ryan, Freelance Journalist
My kids love cement trucks and I love well-made, no-batteries-required toddler toys that keep them happy for hours. The WOW Mix ‘n’ Fix Mike Cement Truck runs on kid power. When little ones push it along the floor, the engine sounds rev up and the mixer turns.
It’s a big, heavy, chunky, solid plastic toy that comes with a barricade and a driver who can sit on top of the cab or in the driver’s seat. It is rated for ages 18 months and up.
I love that all WOW toys come with a ten-year warranty!

These quality toys will entertain and distract many children as they await their X-ray investigations”. – Wells Journal, Yeovil.

Kirsty, Mum of Matthew and Luke, age 3 and 1
We first bought the police car at an airport lounge in Europe and it was such a hit! We then discovered that our local toy store sold the range. The fire engine was the next purchase and this toy is the favourite everytime someone comes to play. Since then we have bought a few more & received for birthdays. They are fab toys, so durable they just don’t break like other toys. My 1 year old loves them, putting the men in and out and pushing them along the floor, while my 3 year old is totally into his role play with them and wanting to know all their names. Such a great range, love the more girly ones too!

Dannie, Mum of Dane, age 18months
I bought these great holdable toys for my son’s first birthday – after taking him into Pinochios Toy Shop in Morecambe he wobbled over to the display (he was walking early at 10m) and took to the aeroplane straight away! He also would not let go of the lovely little WOW people so this sold it to me straight away now he is a little older he loves swapping over the WOW people to drive his plane, fire engine and motorcyle & side car. I would recommened to any one as he is a typical rough play little boy and they still look good as new! Really pleased with them and terrific value for money!

Katie Brown, Grandmother
I wrote to you a short while ago about your toys and congratulating you on them. I also told you it was hard to find them. Having had a reply from you I suggested you contact Linghams’ Book shop and I was thrilled to go in there before Christmas and see a great display of your products. I have bought a number of your toys as gifts for my grandchildren this Christmas and have to tell you I have spread the word and I know of 4 other families who hadn’t heard of WOW Toys have now bought them. My 2, 3year old grandchildren have a good collection and the imaginary games they play are wonderful to watch, enjoy and join in with. Well done again for making good, sturdy toys which don’t just last 5 minutes. If only other manufacturers would follow suit.
Regards, Katie Brown

Babettli, mother of Jake age 2 ½
From the moment my son start playing with a WOW toy it was pretty clear that it was going to be a huge hit. He was immediately drawn to them: the colours, the shapes, the friction motors and little people and animals that fit in any of the vehicles. The versatility of these toys is amazing; they are the only toys he wants to play with. From my point of view a toy that he not only enjoys playing with so much but is also so well built that it can survive the battering it regularly gets from him and his friends can only be a hit with me as well.

Mother & Baby praise WOW toys saying they will stand the test of time

Mother & Baby, the UK’s top parenting magazine is featuring Ernie Fire Engine in it’s December edition. He is featured in the ‘Best Toys for Christmas’ gift guide and can be found in the ‘Classic Toys’ section. Mother & Baby say, “…these items stand the test of time. They’ll look great in the nursery and help your baby learn essential skills”
26th November 2009
Carole Burton the Manager & Editor of the Good Toy Guide praises WOW toys.
Carole wrote to us to say
“WOW Toys. What an appropriate name for an amazing range of toys!
There are so many different toys to choose – definitely something to please every child. WOW Toys encourage imagination and social play, children are immediately attracted to the toys and that appeal doesn’t disappear, children continue to play with the toys happily for long periods of time. I know of one little boy who even slept with the ambulance for several nights!
The toys are exciting and complete ranges. A real favourite is from the farmyard range – the combine harvester is so entertaining as it chugs along dropping bales of hay, of course there are animals, what farm would be complete without animals?
Each range offers everything needed for a great adventure – on the farm, wildlife safari, emergency services. The ambulance even has a wheelchair, as well as a stretcher, this set proved to be very informative for one little girl who had been in an ambulance, but thought it was a lorry, so her mum was able to explain to her about her ride to hospital in an ambulance, using the WOW ambulance!
The racing cars zoom around the floor, without the use of batteries, another bonus. WOW Toys are bright, attractive, hard wearing and they do exactly what they are supposed to do. They are also very well made and surprisingly economical.
I believe that every child should have the joy of playing with WOW Toys!”
24th November 2009
Zorica, Mum of three including Mila age 2 ½
“Our two and a half year old toddler Mila’s favourite toys are from WOW, especially the ambulance called Robin’s Medical Rescue and Dudley Dump Truck. With the ambulance, she loves pressing the WOW button to open the ambulance back door and putting things and people inside and then taking them out again. It has given her hours of fun! We think that it’s very good to have an open roof as she can easily access everything that feels exciting to touch and move in the ambulance car itself.”

Simon, Play worker at Sands End Playhouse in Fulham
”The Playhouse is a drop-in centre for parents and carers with children under 5 years. On an average morning we have 50 children through the doors but on a busy day this number can be up to 100.
We are always looking for suitable play equipment and one morning 3 years ago one of the mothers told me how impressed she was with WOW Toys. Sara had bought some WOW products for her daughter when she was 2 ½ and she was still playing with them age 6.
This struck me as a product with very good play value so I looked into the product and was really impressed. Since then, we always have WOW toys at the play centre and have never been disappointed. Lots of our users have asked for details of the WOW products to purchase them for themselves when they see how much their children enjoy playing with them. The fact that they are so safe, hard wearing and durable, don’t require any batteries to work and are also compatible with each other makes them a great toy with great play value. The children love them.”

The Guardian recommends Dexter the Digger this Christmas

We were delighted to see that WOW‘s Dexter the Digger was included in the Guardian’s Christmas Gift Guide – a guide of “fifty gorgeous Christmas Presents”. Dexter is a great Christmas choice for busy toddlers this Christmas; he is robust, can really dig up his rattling boulders with his mechanical arm and has secret compartments for children to discover. He also has a powerful friction motor to power him along and all without the use of batteries!

Phoebe, mother of three
“All my children love WOW toys. My 3 year old son is obsessed with them and happy to play on his own; I watch him role playing and making up stories; he knows exactly which character goes in which vehicle. My nearly 6 year old daughter still has endless hours of enjoyment with them and it’s something she can do with her little brother. My 1 year old just copies the older two and has great fun putting the people in the cars and pushing them around the room. The toys can keep them busy for hours! A great toy for solo or group playing.”
18th August 2009
Lexa, mother of Abraham 18 months and Otis 4 months
“Just wanted to let you know how much we love your toys!
My son is 18 months and absolutely adores them. They are the only toys he will actually play with on his own and for a proper period of time. The themes you choose are great and he loves how all the people can be placed in all the toys.
So far none have broken and it’s excellent that no batteries are required. It would be good to have more people that could be bought on their own without a vehicle as he loves playing with them.
Love the prices also as they are well staggered so everyone for birthdays, etc. can buy something. Keep up the good work!”
1st August 2009
Louisa, mother of Charlotte, 4 and Nathalie, 3 years
“My girls love WOW toys; they’re bright, colourful and stimulating; the toys keep them amused for ages. They love mixing the different characters. A huge success!”
